Genertec Universal Medical Group Company Limited (“UM”, HK.2666) signed strategic cooperative partnership agreement with Chinese Association of Rehabilitation Medicine (中国康复医学会,“CARM”) at UM headquarters on September 29th, 2020. Leaders from both sides attended the ceremony, including Mr. Fang Guoen, president of CARM, Mr. Niu Xien, party secretary of CARM, Ms. Peng Jiahong, CEO of UM, Mr. Yu Gang, party secretary of UM, and Mr. Feng Qingming, CMO of UM.

The national first-class association is regarded as the top academic organization in Chinese rehabilitation area. Both sides will conduct multi-field profound cooperation in all round way, based on agreed principles including “advantageous complementarities, resource sharing and common development”.

Party chiefs from both sides unveiled the template of “CARM Senior Membership”.

Mr. Fang highly appreciated UM’s strengths and insights in health industry and deeply moved by its strategic plan and sense of responsibility as a central SOE subsidiary. The duty of CARM, he said, is to serve scientific and technical workers to make innovation the great engine for national development. The association aims to support national scientific literacy development and scientific policy-making of Chinese Communist Party and government. Since both sides have common undertakings and aspirations in Chinese medical industry, CARM would leverage its great competencies in resources to provide support and service in future cooperation of UM rehabilitation branding establishment.

Rehabilitation is one of the four UM prioritized specialties, Ms. Peng said. The cooperation will help UM improve its rehabilitation undertakings in terms of disciplines, talents training as well as evaluation systems. A Chinese rehabilitation medicine industry alliance is to be established soon.

UM will closely connect with more national top academic associations to develop its prioritized specialties, taking up its mission to safeguard health and wellness through quality healthcare.
