Genertec Universal Medical Group Company Limited (“UM”, HK.2666) held an Osteology Development Conference and Osteology Training Center Unveiling Ceremony in Yangmei General Hospital(阳煤总医院) on September 19, 2020, which attended by UM leaders including Mr. Feng Qingming, CMO of UM, Dr. Duan Baoshan, president of Yangmei General Hospital and academic advisors from UM Committee of Experts, and the backbone staff of as many as 19 UM hospitals. 

Osteology, as one of the prioritized core disciplines of UM, said by Feng, will be surely supported by a series of motion measures including the establishment of the UM Committee of Osteology Experts and UM Osteology Training Center, development of specialties integration, divide of osteology subspecialty and trainings of subspecialty talents, application of new osteology technology and equipment, and supporting academic exchanges and scientific research. President Duan said that Yangmei General Hospital, with the largest number of osteology beds among UM hospital group, would give full play to its role of osteology training center by setting professional academic exchanges platform for coordinated development of osteology departments in all UM hospitals.

Soon afterwards, Feng and Duan solemnly unveiled the template “UM Osteology Training Center” together.

The conference was also honored to have 4 reputed orthopedic specialists engaged as academic advisors of UM Committee of Experts, including Dr. Feng Shiqing, director of orthopedics from Tianjin Medical University General Hospital (天津医科大学总医院), Dr. Lin Jianhao, director of orthopedics from Peking University People’s Hospital (北京大学人民医院), Dr. Zhao Bin, president of Shanxi Medical University Second Hospital (山西医科大学第二医院), and Dr. Guo Xiaozhong, chief expert of Beijing Aviation General Hospital Osteology Center (北京航空总医院骨科中心) and director of orthopedics.

Feng issued engagement letters to Dr. Feng Shiqing(UL), Dr. Lin Jianhao(UR), Dr. Zhao Bin(LL) and Dr. Guo Xiaozhong(LR).

During exchanges section, presentations were made by representatives from UM Hospital Clinical Development Dept., Yangmei General Hospital, Angang General Hospital(鞍钢总医院), Shanghai MCC Hospital(上海中冶医院), Genertec Universal CREC Pizhou Hospital(通用环球中铁邳州医院) and Minmetals Hanxing General Hospital(五矿邯邢职工总医院), focusing on various topics including scale, operation, technology, talents and scientific research of disciplines, collectivized development of disciplines, meticulous management and orthopedic industrialization. The four newly appointed advisors gave focused solutions in subspecialty construction, development timeline, equipment investment, branding promotion, party work and department culture.

The conference established an effective exchanges platform for orthopedics departments of UM hospitals to discuss the current situation and the future, which providing good guidance to member hospitals.

In future, UM will continue its discipline construction plan to deliver more outstanding specialties and upgrade the integrated level of its hospital group so as to offer quality and safe medical services to broad masses.
