Genertec Universal Medical Group Company Limited (“Universal Medical”, HK.2666) signed an agreement with National Digestive System Diseases Clinical Research Center (国家消化系统疾病临床医学研究中心) in Beijing, on December 19, 2019, to co-establish a state-level digestive system diseases clinical research sub-center in Pangang General Hospital (攀钢总医院), a member hospital of the Company. Several leaders attended the signing ceremony, including Ms. Peng Jiahong, CEO of Universal Medical, Mr. Zhang Shutian, director of National Digestive System Diseases Clinical Research Center and executive director of Beijing Friendship Hospital of Capital Medical University (“Friendship Hospital”, 首都医科大学附属北京友谊医院) and Mr. Wang Ping, director of Pangang General Hospital.

National Digestive System Diseases Clinical Research Center, one of the largest comprehensive digestive system diseases research centers around the globe, was co-established by Ministry of Science and Technology of PRC (科技部), National Health Commission (国家卫健委) and Logistics Department of the Military Commission of CPC Central Commission (中央军委后勤保障部), with the aim of promoting medical innovative system, enhancing clinical research capabilities and building a cutting-edge clinical medicine and exchange research center. Friendship Hospital is the supporting institution of National Digestive System Diseases Clinical Research Center, whose digestive system department is a state-level key discipline and has made fruitful achievements in stubborn diseases, pathogenesis, early diagnosis and treatment in cancer, participating in the National Eleventh Five-year Supporting Plan and “863” Plan for many times.

Pangang General Hospital, as the key member hospital of Universal Medical in Southwest China, will take the cooperation opportunity to have academic exchanges, technology trainings and doctor trainings in digestive system department with Friendship Hospital. It will help make profound influence and latest technology of National Digestive System Diseases Clinical Research Center to as far as the western area of Panzhihua, to promote itself in clinical capabilities and regional diagnosis and treatment facilities. A cutting-edge digestive system diseases research center will appear and help the overall development of digestive system department.
