(Dec 13, Xi’an) “MD Workstation of Universal Medical Northwest Medical Center and Medical Imaging Summit” was held in XD Hospital, a member hospital of Genertec Universal Medical Group Company Limited (“Universal Medical”, 2666.HK). Many a guest attended the activity including representatives from Universal Medical, China-Japan Friendship Hospital, Xijing Hospital of Airforce Medical University, Shaanxi Provincial People’s Hospital, Shaanxi University of Chinese Medicine, Affiliated Hospital of Shaanxi University of Chinese Medicine, Ankang Central Hospital and several medical institutions in Shaanxi Province, and reputed experts and scholars in medical imaging area.

During the summit, the MD Workstation of Universal Medical Northwest Medical Center was announced to be established which will be the very first MD workstation consisting of internal experts and MDs from Universal Medical system and marks the great initiative of Universal Medical talent plan to enable XD Hospital to retain and attract medical talent. Dr. Wang Shuangquan, head of XD Hospital, said that the newly-established MD workstation truly would help the shortage of high-end talent from which the hospital suffered over the years, and provide strong and consistent energy to the coordinated development of medical, teaching and research.

Ms. Peng Jiahong, CEO of Universal Medical, placed great expectations on XD Hospital. Shaanxi Province has always been the key area of Universal Medical’s strategy may while XD Hospital, as the core medical center within the area, should take the lead in talent, academic progress, coordinated development of medical, teaching and research, to better contribute to common progress of the whole area.

During the summit, experts and scholars shared profound views in the latest CT technology, medical imaging technology and its prospects, and trend of precision medicine, and presented the latest results in CT examination/diagnosis standard and imaging. The summit provided new development outlook for medical imaging via talent introduction and academic exchanges, which makes possible for more diversified diagnosis and treatment and the establishment of a truly leading regional healthcare center.
