On November 25th, General Universal Medical Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Universal Medical", HK2666) and the Department of Life Sciences and Medicine of the University of Science and Technology of China (hereinafter referred to as "the Department") signed a memorandum of strategic cooperation. It was established and jointly developed by the People's Government of Anhui Province, the National Health and Family Planning Commission, and the Chinese Academy of Sciences, dedicated to improve the educational, research and healthcare service level of Anhui Province, to enhance the innovative capabilities of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and to accelerate the development of the University as a world-class university with best disciplines and world-class hospitals.

In the memorandum, the two parties adhere to the concept of "integration of medicine and education, and of production and research", and have reached strategic cooperation intentions in many aspects such as joint training of talents, integrated development of medicine, education, industry and research, and resource sharing in the healthcare industry.

Luo Xisheng has high expectations for this cooperation. He said that the Department has been committed to front-end medical research and base construction, and that this cooperation, in correspondence with the national policy, the need and objectives of research, and public health, represents constant advances to better breadth and depth of science and technology and will contribute to the national healthy development strategy.

CEO Peng Jiahong said that as a central enterprise, Universal Medical has been deeply involved in the medical field for over a decade. It now has more than 50 medical institutions covering 14 provinces across the country. With the advantages of group orientation and specialization, it will build a trustworthy medical and health industry group and contribute to China's medical and health industry.
