Recently, the commendation conference ( report meeting on model deeds) on central owned enterprises’ efforts to fight the COVID-19 was convened by the Party Committee of State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council(SASAC). At the conference, SASAC central owned companies’ anti -epidemic efforts were summarized, and outstanding individuals and teams were awarded. Jin Yu, Head nurse of thoracic surgery of Ansteel Group Hospital, Genertec Universal Medical Group Co., Ltd (“Universal Medical” for short, with stock code: HK.02666) was awarded “Outstanding Individual of SASAC Central Owned Companies ” and “Outstanding CPC Member.” 

Universal Medical has quickly responded to the COVID-19 outbreak, with nearly tens of thousands of medical practitioners offering to fight the COVID-19 in the frontline. Jin Yu ,a post-90s nurse, joined Liaoning Province’s first batch of assisting team rising up to the fight against the COVID-19 in Wuhan. When working in the ICU of Xiehe Jiangbei Hospital for 55 days, she struck to race against time to save more lives, and take good care of 64 severe COVID patients, practicing the loyalty and responsibility as a young CPC member.

Since the outbreak of COVID-19, Universal Medical has led its affiliated hospitals in making solid efforts to fight the COVID-19 by launching remote service for overseas employees of China General Technology (Group) Holding Co., Ltd while assisting countries of the Belt and Road in their anti-epidemic endeavours. That is how Universal Medical has demonstrated a central owned company’s social responsibility and safeguarded people’s health and livelihood.
