(Yantai, May 15th) A new branch of Academician Li Jian’an Work Station was formally unveiled in Yantai Port Hospital, a member hospital of Genertec Universal Medical Group Company Limited (“Universal Medical”, HK.2666), which marks the establishment of the first rehabilitation medicine expert work station in Yantai City. Relevant leaders and reputed experts from municipal government, Universal Medical, Yantai Port Group and Yantai Rehabilitation Medical Association, attended the unveiling ceremony. Ms. Peng Jiahong, CEO of Universal Medical, addressed the ceremony and said that the establishment of the Work Station marked a new step of discipline development in Yantai Port Hospital. She believed it would actively promote regional rehabilitation medicine development and provide guarantee for the growing standard of local residents’ daily health.

Dr. Li Jian’an is an international academician of American Association of Medical Sciences. He is also the director of Rehabilitation Medical Center under the First Affiliated Hospital with Nanjing Medical University (南京医科大学第一附属医院康复医学中心), deputy chairman of Stroke Prevention Committee under National Health Commission (国家卫健委脑防委专家委员会), and was elected into the first batch of members in National Health Science Expert Database (国家健康科普专家库). Dr. Li, together with his medical team, will at regular intervals come to the hospital, providing a series of relevant guidance in terms of, including but not limited, ward rounds, study of theory and practice, rehabilitation team meeting, evaluation of patients and medical record discussion.

Dr. Meng Fanxue, president of Yantai Port Hospital, told the reporter that the newly-established work station marked a brand new start where the hospital would further enhance the comprehensive level including medicine, education, research and management and set up a professional structure containing “one branded discipline, two key disciplines and three characteristic disciplines”, to make the hospital’s rehabilitation discipline into a regional reputed rehabilitation medical center.

The year 2020 marks the 70th anniversary of Yantai Port Hospital. As the first medical institution of Universal Medical in Shandong Province, the hospital has been making progress in disciplines, standardization, facilities, service workflow and IT construction. In future, Yantai Port Hospital will continue pushing forward its multi-discipline coordination mode, providing quality medical services to local residents.
