On 3 September 2019, the 11^th Sino-US International Medical Summit Forum, held at Shaanxi Guesthouse in Xi’an. The forum was host by Genertec Universal Medical Group Company Limited (“Universal Medical”, HK.2666). Under the guidance of the provincial and municipal health care committees, Xi’an XD Group Hospital (西电集团医院), Shaanxi Provincial Medical Association (陕西省医学会), and Xi’an Hospital Management Association (西安市医院管理协会) jointly organized the forum. Yao Jianhong, deputy secretary-general of Shaanxi Provincial People’s Government, Liu Baoqin, director of Health Committee of Shaanxi Province, Yang Lianchang, director of Shaanxi Provincial Health and Medical Management Bureau, Lu Yimin, general manager of China General Technology Group, Zhang Dongchen, general manager of China Electronic Information Industry Group, Liu Linzong, director of Aero Engine Corporation of China, Yu Tengqun, vice president of China Railway Group Co., Ltd., Ding Xiaolin, deputy general manager of China XD Group, and related leaders of above-mentioned Central SOEs and its subsidiaries, Xi’an Municipal Health Committee (西安市卫健委), Shaanxi Provincial Medical Association, Xi’an Hospital Management Association, attended the meeting together with more than 300 experts and scholars from China and the US. The forum received strong support from the Shaanxi Provincial Government and the five central SOEs. At the important node of the tenth anniversary of the new medical reform, the central SOEs adhere to their mission, pools the resource advantages, and jointly explores the promotion of hospital innovation through the promotion of medical technology, contributes the wisdom and power of central SOEs and Shaanxi, in order to achieve the goal of “Health for All”.

The Sino-US International Medical Summit Forum is an important bridge for medical exchanges between the two countries. It has been successfully held for ten sessions so far and enjoys a high reputation in the medical community of Shaanxi and China. Discuss the Technology Innovation, by Improving Discipline to Help Hospital Development

At the meeting, Yao Jianhong, deputy secretary-general of Shaanxi Provincial People’s Government, said that over the years, enterprise-owned hospitals have made important contributions to the health care services for local people and the promotion of enterprise development. Shaanxi has always attached great importance to the role of enterprise-owned hospital development in the field of health care. The current round of central SOE hospital reform has given new opportunities for enterprise-owned hospitals, and has also promoted the strong alliance between major central SOEs and other SOEs, providing a broader space for the future development of hospitals. The Shaanxi Provincial Government will, as always, give the hospitals sufficient attention and support to ensure better and faster development of the hospitals.

The five central SOEs attending this forum, China General Technology Group (中国通用技术集团), China Electronics Corporation (中国电子信息产业集团), Aero Engine Corporation of China (中国航空发动机集团), China Railway Group Limited (中国中铁股份有限公司), China XD Group (中国西电集团), have focused on their respective business areas for decades, and have accumulated a large number of core technologies. They are all pioneering representatives that play a leading role in the national economy for a long time. At the meeting, the main leaders of these central SOEs, stated that technological upgrading is an important engine for the central SOEs to maintain their development momentum. Technological innovation is an effective measure for empowering hospitals. Under the background of SOE hospital reform, advanced medical technology is used to promote the hospital disciplines. To help the overall development of the medical and health care undertakings is a powerful practice to better fulfill the responsibility of central SOEs.

Xie Biao, deputy general manager of China General Technology Group, pointed out that the  Group started with technology introduction and knew the importance of technological innovation in promoting the industry development. The Group encourages hospitals to participate in various academic exchange activities to learn new ideas, new methods and new technologies, leading the hospital’s all-round development with advanced technology.

The forum focus on the latest developments in minimally invasive diagnosis and treatment of gynecologic oncology, the future development of precision medicine and the frontier technologies of cardiovascular disease. It echoes the needs of the central SOE hospitals to jointly meet the new challenges in the medical field and provide more new ideas for the construction of key hospital disciplines. Peng Jiahong, general manager of Universal Medical, said that the company will always maintain a sense of innovation, promote the construction of hospital disciplines, and strive to build a central SOE hospital group with leading technology and efficient management.

Layout in the Northwest Region, Building a New Benchmark for Regional Medical Associations

At the meeting, Genertec Universal Medical (Xi’an) Co.,Ltd (通用环球医疗（西安）有限公司), Genertec Universal Xi’an Aero-Engine hospital (Xi’an) Co.,Ltd (通用环球西航医院（西安）有限公司), Genertec Universal Caihong (Xianyang) Hospital Management Co.,Ltd (通用环球彩虹（咸阳）医院管理有限公司), Genertec Universal CREC (Xi’an) Hospital Management Co.,Ltd (通用环球中铁（西安）医院管理有限公司) officially unveiled. It opened a new chapter in the development of hospitals and witnessed the initial strategy scale layout of Universal Medical in the Northwest region.

The unveiling was the first public appearance of eight hospitals in Xi’an and surrounding areas of Universal Medical. Among them, Xi’an XD Group Hospital has outstanding features in the fields of gynecology, cardiology, and neurology, and has achieved fruitful results in minimally invasive techniques and interventional therapy. Xianyang Caihong Hospital (咸阳彩虹医院) and Genertec Universal Xi’an Aero Hospital (通用环球西安西航医院) has established a dislocation competitive advantage with gynaecology and pediatrics as the core of development. By building and deepening the pyramid medical treatment structure system, the five hospitals of China Railway First Group Co., Ltd (中铁一局五家医院) has formed a virtuous cycle of sustainable and high quality for hospital development.

In the future, Universal Medical will take the Xi’an XD Group Hospital as the Northwest Medical Center to balance the development of hospitals’ “medical, teaching and research” functions, and take Xianyang Caihong Hospital as the regional medical treatment center for women and children to improve the ability to treat and refer to critically ill newborns. On this basis, Universal Medical will cooperate with the subordinate medical institutions in the northwest region, to effectively allocate resources, highlight the specialty characteristics of each hospital,  cooperate closely in the aspects of talent flow, patient referral, research and teaching, and resource sharing, and establish a close-range regional medical service system that radiates in the Northwest China.
