——Universal Medical x Ansteel General Hospital held the Annual Conference of Chinese Medical Doctor Association Intracavitary Vascular Professional Committee Internal Organ Diseases Committee

On 22 June 2019, the 4^th Academic Conference of the Internal Organs Diseases of Visceral Artery of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association’s Intracavitary Vascular Professional Committee and the 1^st Annual Conference of the International Vascular Union China Branch of the Visceral Artery Disease Committee, held at the Ansteel Group Exhibition in Anshan, Liaoning. Ansteel General Hospital, a subsidiary of Genertec Universal Medical Group Company Limited (“Universal Medical”, HK.2666), in collaboration with Peking University Third Hospital (北京大学第三医院), Beijing Aerospace Center Hospital (北京航天中心医院), Endovascular Specialist Committee of Chinese Medical Doctor Association (中国医师协会腔内血管学专业委员会), International Vascular Union China Branch (国际血管联盟中国分部), Zhongguancun Precision Medicine Foundation (中关村精准医学基金会), Beijing Cihua Medical Development Foundation (北京慈华医学发展基金会), and Beijing Chinese and Western Medicine Chronic Disease Prevention and Control Association (北京中西医慢病防治促进会), jointly held the conference. At the conference, Genertec Ansteel Hospital Management Co., Ltd. officially unveiled. Xu Xianping, Chairman of China General Technology Group, Dai Zhihao, General Manager of Ansteel Group, Cao Ronggui, former deputy minister of health, Yu Gongbin, Mayor of Anshan, and related leaders of General Technology Group, Ansteel Group, Anshan government, Anshan Medical Insurance Bureau, Anshan Health and Health Commission, Tiedong District, Universal Medical, Chinese Medical Association, hospitals in Anshan area, and hundreds of experts and scholars in endovascular vascular field across the China attended the conference and witnessed the unveiling ceremony. It was highly recognized by the leaders and experts at the conference. It is an important measure for Universal Medical to join hands with Ansteel Group to implement the reform policy of SOE hospitals and to help the overall improvement of medical health level in southern Liaoning.

Build a central SOE hospital group to help the “healthy China” strategy

At the meeting, Xie Biao, deputy general manager of China General Technology Group, mentioned that the party and the state government attach great importance to the medical and health cause. General Secretary Xi Jinping has repeatedly stressed the need to put people’s health in a strategic position of priority development. As a central SOE with medical health as its core business, General Technology Group shoulders the mission of central SOEs and promotes the social responsibility of the national economy and people’s well-being. At present, the total number of beds in medical institutions that have been integrated by General Technology Group has exceeded 20,000, and the hospital network layout has achieved initial success. On this basis, we will continue to work hard to build a central SOE hospital group that mutual promotes with the government-owned public hospitals, and provide assistance for the construction of a diversified medical treatment pattern in China.

Cao Ronggui, former deputy minister of health, pointed out that China’s medical and health services have shown rapid growth and multi-level characteristics in recent years. As an important supplement to public hospitals, social medical treatment is of great significance to meet the needs of the people’s diversified medical services. Central SOEs that focus on health business, such as General Technology Group and Universal Medical, which actively respond to the reform policy and strive to integrate the resourses of SOE hospitals, bringing more vitality and possibility to the construction of a diversified and multi-level medical service system in China. It has contributed to the in-depth advancement of China’s medical and health reform and the improvement of people’s health.

The report of the 19^th National Congress of the Communist Party of China stated that it is necessary to implement a healthy China strategy and establish a quality and efficient medical and health service system. As the core operating entity of the General Technology Group’s medical health segment, Universal Medical takes the reform of SOE hospitals as an opportunity to build a hierarchical central SOE hospital group system through resource sharing and coordinated development on the basis of promoting better and faster development of its hospitals. The system acts actively as a central SOE that contributes to “Healthy China”.

Build a regional medical center to meet the health needs of the people

Zhou Yingqiu, deputy mayor of Anshan, highly praised the conference. She said that the Anshan government attaches great importance to the reform of medical institutions and actively promotes the integration of medical resources. Under the joint efforts of Universal Medical and Ansteel Group, Genertec Ansteel Hospital Management Co., Ltd. settles in Anshan, which is undoubtedly a strong agent, providing a new platform for Anshan’s economic and social development, adding new impetus and ushered in new opportunities. It will also open a new chapter in the reform of medical institutions in Anshan. The Anshan government will continue to give strong support.

Peng Jiahong, general manager of Universal Medical, said that Ansteel General Hospital is the largest level III grade A hospital in terms of the number of beds in Universal Medical. By hosting this conference, many well-known experts in the field of endovascular vessels discuss the latest research results and technical applications, will inspire the hospital by the development of key specialties and multidisciplinary integration. The hospital will also learn from the multidisciplinary and integrated development model advocated by the conference to form a development strategy of “emphasis and comprehensive synergy”.
