On October 15th, 2011 International Symposium of China Primary Hospital Stroke Prevention and SMILE Project Launching Ceremony was co-held by Sino-America Stroke Group (SASG) and China Universal Leasing Co., Ltd. and jointly held by Beijing Deer Bangsheng Medical Technology Co., Ltd. More than 180 hospital presidents and department chiefs of 73 hospitals from more than 20 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities gathered in Beijing to listen to the report delivered by stroke experts from China and other countries and witness the official launching of SMILE Project. Heads of the organizers attended the symposium. CULC President Mr. Guo Weiping delivered a speech.

The symposium was a high-end international conference in stroke prevention and treatment. The organizers invited Professor Zhang Qinyi, the leading expert of MOH Stroke Screening and Prevention Project and the head of SASG Chinese expert group, Dr. Douglas J. Wirthlin, the head of SASG American expert group, Professor Wang Naidong, the deputy head of SASG American expert group, Mr. Fabio Bonetti, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of SIAS, Professor Franco Naccarella, the Chairman of ISCO and other experts. The experts delivered speeches on the prevention and treatment of intracardiac stroke, CEA, intervention of stroke, CEA post-operative management, the clinical value of mobile C-arm X-ray unit, the construction of stroke prevention base and other topics. They also carried out in-depth communication with attending presidents.
