The 8th National Finals of the Smart Healthcare Innovation Competition will be held in Changsha, Hunan from June 22nd to 24th. The project of "Cross domain Optical Network Helps Hospital Group Integrated Management Practice" declared by General Technology Group Company/Universal Medical stood out from nearly 1300 competing projects nationwide and won the first prize of the national finals and the most potential development award.

The 8th Smart Healthcare Innovation Competition is jointly organized by the organizing committee of the Smart Healthcare Innovation Competition and more than 40 industry associations from 31 provinces and cities across the country. It is one of the most authoritative and influential innovation competitions in the field of smart healthcare in China. The theme of this competition is "Smart Computing Network · New Quality Healthcare", with six sub tracks covering application innovation, technological innovation, grassroots hospital innovation, traditional Chinese medicine innovation, advanced infrastructure (new quality healthcare network), and data elements, comprehensively covering cutting-edge technology directions such as medical informatization, artificial intelligence, big data, and computing power networks. The national finals will be held in the form of project roadshows, and will be comprehensively evaluated by industry authoritative experts from multiple dimensions such as technological innovation, application effectiveness, and promotion value.

The award-winning "Cross domain Optical Network Helps Hospital Group Integrated Management Practice" project closely follows the complex status quo of "cross region, multi-level, heterogeneous network" of 68 medical institutions under Group Company/Universal Medical, and innovatively builds a cross domain optical network infrastructure covering 14 provinces and municipalities directly under the Central Government.The core value of this project lies in: through unified network architecture and cloud deployment, about 200 sets of core application systems from various hospitals under its umbrella will be centrally managed, effectively reducing hospital resource investment and operation costs, and exploring a replicable and promotable innovative path for the integrated management of group hospital networks.

Previously, the project had won the first prize in the "Guanghua Cup" Gigabit Optical Network Application Innovation Competition (medical sector) guided by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. The re recognition of this authoritative event in the industry marks that Group Company/Universal Medical's innovative practice in the field of new medical network infrastructure construction has been highly recognized by the industry, and also provides a demonstration sample for the central enterprise medical group in digital integration management.
