Management of Nature - Related Risks and Opportunities
The Group actively responds to the framework requirements published by the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD). It systematically identifies, assesses, and manages short-, medium-, and long-term nature-related risks and opportunities, covering the Group’s own operations as well as its upstream supply chain and downstream customer segments. On this basis, the Group integrates climate risks into its corporate strategy and financial planning, enhancing overall resilience, and conducts 2°C and below climate scenario analyses to examine the feasibility and sustainability of its strategies under different climate transition pathways.
The Group has established a systematic climate risk identification and assessment process, incorporated into the overall enterprise risk management system, with close collaboration between the risk management department and business units. It regularly discloses the status of nature-related risk management to stakeholders, thereby enhancing the transparency and management level of environmental information.
To ensure the effectiveness of management measures, Universal Medical regularly collects relevant information on implementation, conducts nature-related risk and opportunity analyses, and has established a systematic review mechanism. This enables timely identification of improvement areas in current practices and the optimization of ecological management strategies.
