Universal Medical Cooperates with China Minmetals and CITIC Capital

Genertec Universal Medical Group Company Limited (“Universal Medical”,HK.2666)reaches cooperative relationship with China Minmetals Corporation (中国五矿集团有限公司,“China Minmetals”) and CITIC Capital Holdings Limited (中信资本控股有限公司, “CITIC Capital”), and signs a quadrilateral agreement with Minmetals Asset Management Corporation Ltd. (五矿资产经营管理有限公司, “Minmetals Asset”), Minmetals Innovation Investment Co., Ltd. (五矿创新投资有限公司, “Minmetals Investment”) and CITIC Capital in relation to the formation of a joint venture in Beijing for reintegration of several hospitals under China Minmetals. The largest shareholder of the joint venture will be Universal Medical. Pursuant to the cooperation, the joint venture will take over the hospital assets in stages according the conditions of these hospitals.


China Minmetals, the largest and the most internationalized metal mineral corporation in China, has covered over 60 nations and regions around the earth with its overseas agencies, resources projects and construction projects, which will provide adequate overseas resources guarantee for the cooperation. As one of the key strategic investors of Universal Medical, CITIC Capital provides strong support for Universal Medical’s strategic goals with diversified resources and excellent talents.


The hospitals under the cooperation, including MCC Shanghai Hospital (上海中冶医院),Maanshan Shiqiye Hospital (马鞍山十七冶医院), China MCC5 Group Corp. Ltd. Hospital (中国五冶集团有限公司医院) and Panzhihua MCC19 Hospital (攀枝花十九冶医院), etc., are largely located in the North, the East, the Mid-south and the Southwest of China. Based on its national multi-level hospital coordination system and synergetic development layout of health industry, Universal Medical will provide support for cooperative institutions with capital, intelligence and mechanisms to enhance their technology and service quality, satisfying the ever-growing needs of the people for medical services and regional health industry development.
