Universal Medical Helps Ankang Central Hospital Become NHC Higher Stroke Center

2018 Stroke Project Wrap-up Conference was held in Changsha, Hunan Province during November 30thto December 2nd. Over 1300 officials and experts from health departments of various governments and stroke-related areas attended the conference and witnessed Ankang Central Hospital’s great honor to be titled as “National Advanced Stroke Center” with the help of Genertec Universal Medical Group Company Limited (“Universal Medical”, HK. 2666).


 


Ankang Central Hospital entered into a formal stroke project cooperation agreement with Universal Medical in late 2016 and made it a pilot plan in stroke innovation. The plan responded the requirements from National Health Commission (NHC) Stroke Project and focused on breakthroughs in suitable stroke prevention and treatment, accelerating the hospital to meet the requirements of higher stroke center via systematic trainings and in-depth promotion. Through 2 years of joint efforts, Ankang Central Hospital has finally become a national-level stroke center. In the meanwhile, Baihe County People Hospital in Ankang City is also cooperating with Universal Medical on applying for primary stroke center title. The title which is given to Ankang Central Hospital, provides strong support to Baihe County People Hospital and successfully completes the stroke emergency map and network of Ankang and even Shaanxi Province.


Xi’an Jiaotong University First Affiliated Hospital, one of the key strategical partners of Universal Medical, also formally became a national stroke project training center.


 


Mr. Wang Longde, noted academician and deputy-director of Stroke Prevention and Treatment Committee, addressed the conference with the topic of “Summary on Stroke Project in 2018 and Work Plan in 2019” and highly affirmed achievements of Ankang Central Hospital. The stroke center project is the first priority during the second 5-year plan of 2016-2020, he said. Up to now, there have been 200 established advanced stroke centers, 111 in construction and 119 stroke prevention and treatment centers, which vigorously promote the stroke project and benefit the people.
