On December 16, the 2^nd China Healthcare Industry-Study-Research Cooperation Summit was held in Academic Hall of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing. Universal Medical Financial Technical & Advisory Services Company Limited (“Universal Medical”, HK.2666), as a leading healthcare services provider, was also invited to the Summit.

The theme of the Summit was “Seize the Opportunity and Ground Innovation Results” including topics like Healthcare Future Development, Latest Healthcare Results, Healthcare Experience Sharing, Industry-Study-Research Cooperation, Financial Support Guarantee, Support in “Two Start-ups Mode” Introduction, etc. 

During the Summit, Mr. Guo Weiping, CEO of Universal Medical, leveraging on the company’s successful healthcare services experience, made an address with the topic of “Social Capital Supports China’s Health Industry Development”. Three points need to be focused on for China’s health industry promotion, he said, first of all, attach great importance to preventive medicine so as to decrease morbidity, delay onset age and even rule out the possibility; secondly, integrate combined medicine with teamwork medicine and precision medicine so as to effectively raise the availability and cut the cost of seeing a doctor; last but not least, combine healthcare with elderly care and provide customized services for the people to enjoy adequate care throughout old age.

Mr. Guo also stated that, Universal Medical, as a company with central SOE background, not only shoulders the social responsibility to bring the people welfare even with deep thoughts and feelings like doctors, but also has the wide vision and strong financial strengths. Up to now, Universal Medical has provided hundreds of billion financial support for over 1000 Chinese hospitals in construction, technology enhancement as well as healthcare services capabilities. In future, Universal Medical will continue providing support in financing, technology, philosophy and mechanisms to boost Chinese healthcare market for an overall healthcare system with Chinese characteristics to be established and finally reach the target of “Health for All”.
