International Landport Hospital: Earthwork begins

Earthwork began on November 13, 2017, with the support of Xi’an International Trade & Logistics Park, which marks the commencement of International Landport Hospital construction. The new hospital is co-established by Universal Medical Financial & Technical Advisory Services Company Limited (“Universal Medical”, HK.2666) and First Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Jiaotong University.

In the meantime, other steps including optimal design, bidding and purchasing, construction procedures as well as land transfer are all well underway.

The cooperation between Universal Medical and First Affiliated Hospital marks the very first marriage of a top hospital under NHFPC and a key SOE under SASAC, which aims to build up a 3A hospital with various functions including treatment, training, research, elderly care and rehabilitation via PPP model. The new hospital is expected to be an advanced medical center leading Northwest China and help improve the overall medical strength in the west area.
